Hi jwdz,

There was/is no LabVIEW 8.1, as LabVIEW is celebrating its 20th Anniversary, National Instruments skipped LabVIEW 8.1, in favour of celebrating the 20th Anniversary of LabVIEW by releasing the 20th Anniversary edition of LabVIEW 8.20

Hope this clears up any confusion

Spelled out LabVIEW Eight-Twenty! 🙂

(or eight-point-twenty. Not eight-(point)-two or eight-(point)-two-oh)

Oh the .20 is for 20 years of labview that makes sense.  I figured Ni started using a more open source type of versioning where odd subversions (ie 8.1) are development versions and even versions are public releases.  20 years old, guess Labview will be hitting the bars next year (at least here in the US).
