labview singalexpress, language uninstalled, unable to open resouce files

Whenever I have a programmable DC load connects to my laptop through the USB, labview SignalExpress runs by itself and pops out two windows, one says “language uninstalled" , the other one says" Unable to open resource files"

You can clear device associations by right-clicking on NI Device Monitor in the Windows taskbar. This should keep SignalExpress from running automatically. As for the errors. do you have the language installed that you want to use?

Thanks for the reply. My NI softwares are in English , my operating system is running in English as well. Do I have to install any other language separately?

No, you only need to use the languages that your system wants to use or that you want to use. Are you still seeing problems after clearing device associations?

Yes, I experienced the same problem this morning after I turned my laptop on. I don't even see NI Device Monitor in the Windows taskbar anymore.

You may want to make sure NI Device Loader is running, along with the other NI services nearby. This Knowledgebase article explains the process for doing this.

Hi klni,

Can you make sure that NI Device Loader is not in the services list. It will be called "NI Device Loader", not "National Instruments Device Loader". If this is not showing up, you may want to reinstall DAQmx. You can find the latest version here:

Hi klni,

You can try to manually start NI Device Monitor by going to Programs>>National Instruments>>NI-DAQ>>NI Device Monitor and then set it to Run at Startup.

It sounds like you might be missing certain files in the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine. You might want to try reinstalling LabVIEW (http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/FE6B641E86E55AF2862576DE00038001?OpenDocument) and then DAQmx if you still see the error.
