One (but not the only one) difference is their filename…

The project file is used to organize your LabVIEW project.

The library is used to bundle related VIs.

The other two are used and created by LabVIEW, I never needed to change them. (You might need to change them when you need to edit some network or access rights related settings.)

If you open LabVIEW and activate LabVIEW Help (Ctrl-? -- be sure to type this as Ctrl-Shift-/), you can put "lvlps" in the Search menu, and you will be taken to a nice table called LabVIEW File Extensions that explains all of these Extensions (and others you didn't ask about).

LabVIEW is pretty good about giving you the Tools to Learn LabVIEW (see also LabVIEW Examples).
