labview exits unexpectedly when using ActiveX components

Is there any information on an activeX interaction that terminates the Labview process?

I've been working on an application that has numerous ActiveX components and have seen the Labview process terminate unexpectedly without warning. The first one that I managed to isolate was when using the Microsoft AX Treeview control SP6 when a certain pattern in the treeview was clicked, Labview would terminate, no warning no Windows error report request. I didn't change the code in any way I just deleted a state in the gui state machine and recreated it and the problem went away. Now I am seeing Labiew end at seemingly random times, when working on another PC I've seen the application end when just running idle. Als
o when using a proprietary report generation utility certain activity on the utility can cause LV to end in the same manner.

Systems Information
Win 2K
LV 6.1
Dell Dimension 4400

Any help that can be provided would be helpful as this system is coming to acceptance at the end of June.

Wow this is a drag!

Have you tried to write a minimal VI that simulates the problem?

I suggest you work with the Treeview control seeing as it sounds you know how to make it fail.

Once you get it cut down to the minimum required to cause the exit, you can check with NI support to see if they can duplicate the problem. I would not mind looking at a sample of the minimum version. Feel free to post a copy.

Have you checked for updates to the Treeview app?

If you can get the issuie worked out with Treeview you may be able to fix the proprietary app as well.
