The ag3499x driver has a very complicated initialization process because of its modular nature. The driver must detect all of the installed modules and then re-configure its data structure, caching and properties dynamically.
While the driver has been tested thoroughly, it is very possible that variations between your system and our sample test system could be the cause of the crash.
Please use the NI-Spy logging utility to record the NI-VISA API calls that occur when you call Initialize. Looking at those calls will help us isolate the problem. Save the log file and then e-mail the following to instrument.driver@ni.com:
- log file
- information about your PC (speed, RAM, PCI cards installed)
- information about your 3499A instrument (m
odules installed, GPIB or serial?)
- link or reference to this page
We will use that information to investigate further.
