labview 8 plot cursor legend

Is there any way to import the XY graph control type from LabVIEW 7.x into LabVIEW 8?  I love the plot cursor legend in the older versions of LabVIEW and hate them in LabVIEW 8.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, there's no way to import a 7.1-style control into LabVIEW 8.0. However, you could create your own interface using string controls and property nodes to interact with the cursor legend properties. I agree that it's not an ideal workaround, but that would allow you to customize its appearance. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the info. Is there any way that NI will offer the old format as well? The new cursor legend style is a big step backwards.

There are no plans to incorporate that feature at this time. However, I just filed a product suggestion to R&D so they can consider it in future versions of LabVIEW. (If you'd like to file one yourself, check out the Product Suggestion Center.)

Besides ugly Cursor Legend: Are there any other unpleasent surprises? I'm afraid of discovering new features of LabView 8.2.
