Does it do it repeatably? Under what circumstances? What does the program do?

We need details...

Hi!

My program fails with the same error.
It is repeatable:
I have a combo box in a subpanel vi. The combo box doesn't allow undefined values. When I roll down the combo box and then I press a button on my keyboard a pop up window appears with this error.

Attica:

What version of LabVIEW are you using?. Please let me know so that I can reproduce this on my end.

Regards,

Rudi N.

Thanks,

I tried to reproduce this but the file subvi.vi is missing.  One suggestion is to put the open VI reference outside of the while loop.  You should not open references, file, etc. while inside a loop.  I can't promise you that this will solve your problem, but it is a good programming practice and will probably save you a few headaches in the future.

Hi

Sorry for the missing file...
I was in a hurry when I made the VIs, that's why the funny mistake (loop with OpenReference) I have fixed it...

There appears to be several reports internally regarding this error and LabVIEW 7.1.  Most of them were fixed for LabVIEW 8.0.

If you could provide an error log file, I could match your error with the exact match, and potentially find a work around.  The error log location is shown here:
