interactive table

Basically, I want to be able to show live readings in a table. when the levels go outside of a certain range, for the cell affected to change color. the end user should be able to then double-click that particular cell to display all relevant info of associated reading.

I am not sure on how to program the table to accept the double click to open a new set of data/graphs/etc. I think it should be a simple task, but at the moment I cant seem to wrap my head around the solution.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
