I woul d like to know how sould I have to do to include run time engine ni daq driver741 and my application in the same executable file truth  application builder?

Hi Olivier,

If you can build applications, then you can go under Tools and select "Build Application or Shared Library".

There are a number of tabs in the build application window.  The last one is "Installer Setting".  Select it.

Place a check mark in the "Create Installer" box.  Make sure you visit the "Advanced" and "Files" sections to make sure you include all appropriate support and files.  As mentionned, the knowledge base should help you with this.

Hi Olivier66,

If you're using the Traditional DAQ driver 7.4.1, I'm assuming that you're using LabVIEW 8.0. If this is the case (and you have the application builder), the procedure for including the DAQ driver is much simpler than indicated in the KnowledgeBase article mentioned above. You can follow the directions here:

If, however, you are using LabVIEW 7.1 (or earlier) the solutions already posted are your best option.

 I just want to know if its possible to create the installer for win98 because aparrently if you clic on the tab advanced in the installer properties you can only choose to build it for windows 2000 at least.

I guess it is not possible so Is there anonther way to do that?

HI sorry I have another question
in the same tab advanced of installer properties there's a place to configure include hardware configuration but  how can I know that it will include all my daq channels?what this stuff is doing because when I clic on the Configure buttona window appears but there's only VIsa and I cannot see my daq channels
and I also need to include the driver of the daq card in my installer, how can I make that?

Hi Olivier,

If you are using LV8, I don't think Win-98 is supported.  You'd have to choose Win-2000 or Win-XP.

LabVIEW 8 is only supported for Win2000 and XP. If you need Win98 support you need to stay with LabVIEW 7.x.
