hi,

I want to turn on dc bias current at HP 4284A via labview, but I do not know how!

Hi mirbol,

 

Have you downloaded the instrument drivers? They are available from the page below.

 

 

Make sure you pick the 2009 version as the 2010 link is incorrect at this time.

 

You will also need VISA 3.2 drivers installed, which are available from here if you do not already have them:

 

 

Finally, after restarting labview, the 428X series palette will be available to use, under Instrument I/O, then Inst Drivers, in the Functions palette.

 

I have attached a basic VI to set the bias conditions on the 4284a. You will need to select the instrument to use. If none show up, make sure it is connected and check it appears in Measurement and Automation Explorer.

so there is an another problem, i want to set the bias current step by step, but it doesn't work.

please explain me, how it should be?!!!

Just a suggestion, if you post VISA issues in the Instrument Control forum then there is a good chance that either a user with a similar problem, or an expert in that field, will answer your question.
