how to use a joystick with labview??

Does anyone know how to do I get about to use a joystick and control a plane through Labview? I have tried out the tutorials that are remotely related to this issue but so far they have been no help at all as I dont understand how they can be used for my application.......my deadline for my project will approaching soon and I am in dire need of help.....

Was there something wrong with continuing this in your other thread? When you do something like this you make the people here do extra work for nothing and you reduce the chances of someone looking for the same thing in the future to find the answer. You also reduce people's will to help you.

Your problem is still unclear - is the problem using serial comm in general? Is the problem using serial comm with this specific plane? Is the problem with formatting the data you get from the joystick to fit the plane?
Also, you didn't answer my last reply in that thread - you still need to know the protocol for speaking with the plane. If your problem is with this part, you can post an example of how a command should look and we can try to help you.
