how to share the value of two control ?

Hello,

I'm a beginner with Labview, and I after reading the doc, I've not found
how to use two control to generate the same variable : I need a Dial AND
a numeric control (in order to be more accurate) for the same variable.
Is there a way to do it ?

Sincerely,

JH

Hi,

if you need to use  a dial simply select it, press right mouse button and from "visible items" choose "digital diplay".

You can change "format and precision" to get the desired "precision".

Hi JH,

Since you mentioned you were a new user, I thought I'd chime in with some really helpful links.  First of all, there are some helpful introductions to LabVIEW on ni.com:

Three Hour Introduction to LabVIEW
Six Hour Introduction to LabVIEW

These courses will help give you a foundation on dataflow, which is essential to LabVIEW programming.  You can also search the KnowledgeBases (there are thousands) and the Example Code on Developer's Zone.

I hope this helps you get started!
