Well, you wrote it twice, once in the subject, once in the message body. It didn't make it any clearer as to what you are asking for.
Please provide a little more detail as to what you are trying to do and where you are stuck.

Ranjith,
I think the answer for your 1st que is NO. In the sense, you can run the code, but it may not work precisely as it is supposed to...
A target can be said to be an RT, if & only if it has an RTOS installed in it, not just Windows, which is not a real-time OS.
Youcan run the existing code in Windows, but as I said earlier, it may not give you the actual results.
Finally, hereafter, pl dont use the term 'box' for a PXI. It is a chassis with a main module that runs on Windows or an embedded RT processor/conrtoller that runs on an RTOS like VxWorks or Phsr Lap.
Hope this helps you to some extent...

1. i would like to test my code on windows with fpga. how do i do this?
- how to download fpga code
- how to keep my binary on OS startup
- how to configure windows installed PXI chassis to see on network/MAX
2. if i have to install RTOS, what is the procedure to do it?
I have several questions like above.. are there any guidelines which i can go thru and setup my PXI chassis as required.

Hi, Ranjith
This might help you as your problems are very generic
1. To trouble shoot PXI, http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/5403

I think some of the embedded PXI RT controllers come with preloaded RTOS.
I m not sure about the rest of your queries. May be you can contact the local NI in India.
