how to run an USB-TC?

I have had this eight thermocouple tester but have only been runing one. The TIn Scan runs all eight but I dont no how to start them. I put 8 buttons in the front of my VI and I want to be able to click on a buttum and take a temp from that certain thermocouple. Do I need to use an Event Loop? I looked at the event loop but I dont know how to put inputs. The current inputs say Source, Type, and Time.
