how to read datas from WAV file and remove noise

sir,

I want to read the sound signal  from WAV file,  then remove the noise from that signal and store another location.

Reading the WAV file is easy.  There is a function for that in LabVIEW already.  As for removing the noise, it depends on the noise.  Can you post an example of the WAV file you want to clean up or describe what the noise is that you need to remove?

sir

I am new to use LABVIEW 8.2 so explain clearly how to read sound signal from WAV file through software. If you have an example node send me immediately.

Dear All

I require ur help in building a VI to generate a sinle pulse(not continous) and send it a valve coil to actuate and measure the coil current back(response measurement)
For the above i used analog output and input option to send the pulse and measure the coil response but i succeeded in sending pulse and actuated it(oen/cose) but could not get the coil response back(current)
i need to to do it simultaneouisly

I request the LabVIEW community to help in this regard i will attach the vi currently iam using
pls send me some example vi's

iam using PCI6040E and LabVIEW7.1

Thanks and Regards

Look in the 'Find Examples...'.  In the examples there is a vi called 'Read Sound File to Chart'.  Take a look at that.

Hi chasan,

First, your DAQ card is not capable of measuring current.  It measures voltage.  Therefore to measure the current you are getting back from the coil, you will need to use a high precision resistor, measure the voltage across that resistor, and divide the measured voltage by the known resistance to get the current.

Are you sure that the valve coil is sending a current back out?  Can you measure the current coming out of the coil with a Digital Multimeter (DMM)?

And depending on your DAQ card, the analog voltage output probably only has 5-10 mA of current drive which I doubt is enough to actuate the valve.

What DAQ card are you using and what are the volatge and current specs for the valve?

Hi

I am not measuring the current Directly iam measuring interms of voltage only across a resistor it comes around 250 to 350mV
more over i am using PCI6040E card and LabVIEW7.1

Pls help in trouble shooting

Thanks
