Hi,
Interesting topic! With LabVIEW you can achieve interoperability with a variety of programming languages because it has capabilities with established technologies like DLL’s and Active X. Also Remote panels in LabVIEW will allow you to embed the front panel user interface of your LV application inside standard internet browser windows. Thus allowing a client PC that only has LabVIEW runtime engine (available for free download from our website) and a browser like Microsoft’s Internet Explorer to assume control of a LV application remotely across a network connection e.g. internet.

If you are interested in learning more about such capabilities LabVIEW intermediate 2 course might be of interest to you. The LV courses are taught by NI application engineers and are fairly jam packed alternatively you can purchase the course kit and self pace it in your own time.
