how to connect it??

I am using Dell™ TrueMobile™ 5100 Tri-band GPRS PC Card

to connect it to the lab view to send an sms to any phone, how can I use it? is it from the visa??if yes how??if not also how?

I am biggener to labview  and I need to do this application as soon as posibile for my graduation project. if anyone has a vi can you post it here to help me

i think with the driver for that comes an ActiveX support or a dll which you can use.

if it support ActiveX or dll how this can help me?? I mean how I can connect or use it on labview to send sms by inserting a phone number when I run the program???this is something new to me so maybe I am learning slowly but at least I will understand everything

Hi reemon,

in your LV there is a "call library function node" with which you can call dll functions. Furthermore is are some ActiveX functions. Do you have an user manual for your hardware? Maybe there are some hints for you.

the problem is my teacher gave to me without any cd but I installed the drive from the internet ..I couldn't find if it support activeX or dll

Hello mike,

yes I can work with it but the problem that I don't have the software because my teacher gave it to me without the CD and I searched for it on the internet but with no luck.

what can I do know?

how can you work with it, without the software? Another solution could be if you see your card as serial device.

Hi reemon,

install it it see if you can find more informations about ActiveX support. I think there is definitiv a dll which you can use, or maybe it works like a modem and you can communicate with serial commands.
