how do I extract Image data?

Hi,

I am looking to pull out the image data from the information bar along the bottom of an image - specifically, the pixel value and coordinate information. Is there a way to extract the information?

Thank you,

Andy

This thread *may* be relevant...Someone was trying to control a instrument based on the cursor position in an image IIRC....

Hello Andy!

Thank you for contacting National Instruments.  What you are doing can easily be accomplished by using a VI Server Reference.  When you use this reference you can select it to be image (which is the name of the image control on your front panel) then wire it to a property node and extract the "Image Information String".  This should give you all of the information you need.  I am posting an example of how to do this.  Let me know if you have anymore questions.  Thanks and have a great day!

Hi,

Sorry to be painful - I only have version 7.1, and so I can't open your attachment. I have had a fairly thorough look (I think) for what you suggested, and I canno' find it. Is there any chance you can save your 'HL snap.vi" for an earlier version of labview?

Cheers and apologies,

Andy
