how can I control application

I have quastion

My manager gave me application which is built in software but not labview , he has asked me to control this application using labview , please is there is anyone know which function I should use and how ??

That totally depends on the other application. Does it have an ActiveX interface or some other api?

yea , it is have active intervase , it is called IPVC 3

Then you will need the documentation on that from the vendor. You will use it's properties and methods for interfacing. You can get a general idea of how ActiveX is used by looking at the Excel examples but since each ActiveX interface is different, you will have to work out the details yourself.
