holding values on indicators

I am recieving data from the serial port and taking the values and putting them on indicators. The data is coming in on 5 second intervals. I was wondering if there was a way to keep the slides i am using at the current values untill more data comes in. What is happening is the data is recieved and shown for a couple of milliseconds and the slide goes back to 0 every 5 seconds. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It seems that somewhere in your vi you write zero to indicator, because it must remain always with last value that you writed into. Check your code or attach it to this forum.
