help!!!

I installed labview 7.0 in my pc, and all my vi-s are coded under 7.0. I downloaded 8.2 two months before, now 8.2 has passed the deadline for free use, and all my vi-s have been opened by labview8.2.

The problem is that i cannot open these vi-s with labview 7.0 any more. what should I do.

Unless you made a backup of your files, you have a problem.

If it's a small amount of files, you can try uploading them and hope that someone will be able to save them back all the way to 7.0.

If it's a large amount, you can either try asking your local NI office to do it for you or you can try downloading evaluation versions for 8.0 and 7.1, set your system clock back so that you can open 8.2 and backsave it all the way to 7.0.

The last option, of course, is to buy 8.2.

to buy LV8.2 should be the first option! 🙂

After working for two month with LV8.2 and NOT caring about backups and backward compatibility it seems to me you only worked with the new version. So why not continue using LV8.2?

the software is bought by my boss. He is not to buy LV8.2 at the moment.
