Error connecting to FPGA compile server.
I recently upgraded to LV2013 on Windows 7 32-bit.
When attempting to compile I get the following error:
Do I need the latest version of Xilinx? This is the only compile server download I could find on NI.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Matt.

With the latest FPGA tools I think there are 2 components.
LabVIEW FPGA Toolkit - This lets you develop code in LabVIEW for FPGAs. This adds FPGA targets and code VIs for them.
Xilix Compiler - This lets you take VIs and turn them into bit files for the FPGA.
The FPGA Toolkit is relativly small I assume this is what you have. The Xilix Compiler is really big, and usually comes on its own DVD. Here is some more information:

Givent this information I believe this is the compile tool you need.

Thanks. Downloading now. Found I needed the 10.1 version for the PXI-7811R (Virtex II) FPGA card.

You may want to look over that knowledge base again. It states that the minimum compile tools you need is 10.1 based on your hardware. But basedon the LabVEIW version of 2013 the compile tools you need to download is 14.4.
No harm in getting both just want to save you some time/bandwidth.

Since the 7811 has a Virtex-II chip on-board, you'll only need the 10.1 version.
If he had a Spartan-3, Virtex-5,6, Kintex-7, or Zync chip, he'd need 14.4.

Notice that the 7811 is in the "Only Xilinx Compile Tools 10.1". So you need to find the version 10.1 that supports LabVIEW 2013.
