do you have any resources (files) opened in the folder when you try to delete it.  What OS are you using?

Well, do you actually have permission to delete files from that folder? If Windows is saying that you can't change the permissions, then that implies that you're logged in with an account that has limited privileges. This sounds like an operating system problem, and not a LabVIEW problem.

If you try to delete a folder and it still has files in it, you need to wire a TRUE to the "entire hierarchy?" input. Did you?

My impression was that the user was trying to delete a file in the folder, and not the folder itself, though it's not completely clear from the original post.

have you checked can you delete the file or the folder manully?

Is the reference to the file is still open?

The person who is using the LV application or the LV application itself is having proper read/write access to the files/folder?

If you have browsed to the folder using LabVIEW, Windows will apply a lock on that folder (it is unclear Windows does this or LabVIEW) and you cannot delete that folder.

This might be the case

Exactly. It all depends what "it" means.

I assumed that since the folder was created in LabVIEW, deleting the folder would be one possible guess for "it" due to the descibed difficulties. Deleting the file would be another possible interpretation of the question. 😉
