external trigger/clock source

I do not need to read in a value, I simply need my loop to iterate in response to an external trigger (or clock signal...maybe I have my terms mixed up). We were actually thinking of using an NI PCI-6534 high speed digital I/O card.

Ok now we are getting somwhere!

Double check the spec on the board but,

You may be able to do what you want by using an extertnal clock to gate out the values you queue up to the buffer.

Check your board!
