It's integrated with LabVIEW. On the menu, go to Tools>>Build Application or Shared Library

That looks like the menu for LabVIEW Full version and not Professional. You're also missing the Compare and Source Code Controls items. You might want to double check your license. Does your LV install CD state Professional Development System? When you did the install, did you choose a custom installation?

Re: executable vi files in windows!

Hi guys, I got the professional version, and i get the builder to build the application. I used to make a installer and its run good.

I only have a litle problem. I made icon to my application, but when i try to build my application .exe, the program request me a file with the icon in 2 formats 16x16 and 32x32. I put the icon file, but it only take the format 32x32.

How can I make the file with the 2 formats?. If you can to let me a example icon file, i would like grateful!.

Thanks and regards,Jose.

Re: executable vi files in windows!

As far as I know the Application builder from LV 5 created truly stand-alone programs - no external RT needed.

If you can "downgrade" the program to LV 5, maybe it would be possible to get someone to compile it for you?

The disadvantage is that the whole RT is basically placed in the exe, making the exe file several megabytes large..... Any chances of getting LV RT shipped as standard with any major OSes (Notice how I didn't mention Windows - doh!)? The reply mentioning the standard C library kind of made me think of this....

Re: executable vi files in windows!

You need an icon builder program to create your icons. Do a search with google you will see a lot of them.
