exe quits

Solved!

I have a MAIN.vi that runs a series of sub-vi's I'm calling via open vi reference. The app and exe run great on the development system. It runs great on a 2nd machine until I create and save a report in excel from a subvi. Then the app just quits. Exits. I have to restart the app. Not good.

Odd, on machine three is MS Office working correctly?

I had a similar experience recently as well. This application didn't use the report toolkit. I will have to dig through the e-mails to jog my memeory on what the root cause was.

It appears to have something to do with printing. I generate a lot of reports on both machines and everything works fine. Except in machine 2 when I run a cal. Cal prints the report. The other reports are not printed. And I have a printer hooked up to the development machine. Also, if it makes any difference, developement machine is running Excel 2007 whereas machine 2 is running Excel 2003.

Working for now. I disabled the print report function and the VI doesn't crash anymore. I'll find a workaround later. Thanks anyways. Smiley Happy
