.exe: DAQmx 'Error validating external library'

Solved!
Go to solution

Hey,

I'm trying to build an .exe-Application with Labview 2014 SP1 on a Win7 x64-machine. Everytime, the result is not executable on any PC (the developer and the laboratory one). I receive a broken arrow, but no messages on the error list. As I check for warnings in the debugging mode, there is a message: 'Error validating external library.' related with nilvaiu.*DAQControl:D and other nilvaiu.*-files.

What I've already done is checking the compatibility of the Runtime Engine, Labview itself and DAQ, mass compilation of the whole project and lately I un- and reinstalled Runtime Engine 2014 SP1 and DAQmx 15.5.1.

I also built a full installer, resulting in the same warnings..

Does anyone have another idea?

Thanks!

Hej,

I just found the reason for the bad behaviour. Even if I uncommented all processes related with DAQmx, the compiled exe didn't work if the hardware (a USB 6008) was not available.

If I connected the USB 6008 everything went fine and the problems didn't appear again as I removed the Diagram Disable structures. Maybe this can be a help for the next one struggling with these questions.
