error in memory.cpp line 638

hello,

When running my application in Labview 7.1 under windows XP, i have a crash with the following message:
"Fatal Internal Error: "memory.cpp", line 638"

I read in preceeding post that this problem was known:
- The Service Request Number was 635103 (SR# = 635103).
-
This issue has been confirmed and a Corrective Action Report (CAR) was generated Car# = 3GKCEKSN

yes, but.... and now ?

My company had to buy a new version of Labview or is there a patch to install ?

Thanks by advance for your answer(s).

J.

That sounds a lot like my work.

Unfortunately I report too many bugs to be able to remeber all of them.

You can call

(800) 433-3488

And tell them you are calling to check on the status of that SR and CAR.

please post in this thread whatever you find out.

Thanks for your response Ben.
I called Mr Larue from NI France (ref 300258) but he couldn't help me because my dll perform TCP/IP exchange with a special device.

I solved the problem by suppressing step by step the clusters, tables and others vi's call.
I use tables to print my device informations (soft version, serial number...).
It seems to be the problem for me: dll call with "ElementName" (write mode) from "PropertiesNode" of my tables.

I hope this can be helpful for other people, it works for me.
I don't know if it is a known problem and if in future version the bug is suppress.
I actually work with version 7.1 and soon (I hope) with version 8.0.

I join a picture of my VI, I can't attach the project for confidentiality reasons.

Happy Halloween,

JethroTulls.
