drivers for Labview SE

What is SE? Student Edition, SignalExpress, something else? What sort of instrumentation? GPIB, DAQ, USB?

I would like to know more about the limitations of the student edition of LabView. More specifically, I have instrumentation that uses RS232 communications and I would like to know if the LV student edition will be compatible with LV drivers that are supplied by the instrumentation manufacurers.  Thanks for the help,

The student edition is basically LabVIEW full with a few extras (mathscript, etc.). The restrictions are in the way you are allowed to use it (i.e. educational). The front panel and diagram will has a watermark, identifying it as student edition during use.

There should not be any restrictions on drivers.

For serial communication, all that you need to install is NI-VISA. The student edition does not have any limitations beyond what you see in the license agreement.
