displaying time on x axis

I want to set up a waveform chart so that the initial time on the x-axis is the initial time the proram was run, and the max time is five minutes later, and then have the program start recording and scrolling down the graph so that there is always five minutes worth of data showing. I am doing continuous data acquisition so i need to use the chart type. Also, maybe it is possible to solve this using some other data type (waveform??) where you bundle the time with the number. Could someone please post a lv 6.1 vi showing me how to do this, I can't seem to figurue out the time/property node stuff.

Thanks!!

Hi Marshall,

Here is a VI which does what you want. The Only Problem is the VI Works within the Tab Control. This VI Was used by me to Illustrate a Problem with Tab Control under "Waveform Chart Initalized by Property nodes behaves erratically when hidden by the Tab Control?"

However if you remove the Tab Control, the VI will do as you please. The Time Scale in this VI is One Minute. And the Start time is time when you Start. You can change these settings as you want them.

Also there is a Button, Which either Stops or Reset+Runs the time Chart.

Good Luck!!

Splendied "apetizer" for the group 😉

First questions that are interesting to more of us to get answered,

thereafter "thanks"

- But where is the "follow-up" or the link or the answer?

I'd like to also check this excellent example, but where do I find it?

Many thanks!

Now, I just have to find someone in this dep. that can give me the new
6.1 distribution to make me able to watch the examples...

It migt take some week due to vacation, and I'm eager, but there is
nothing to do but wait...

Again, Many thanks,
