display message

Hi,

I wish to be able to display a message to the user, do some other stuff in between while the message is displayed the remove it when i want to.  I have written the attached vi, which is my intended use but closes the front panel after the Sub vi executes.  I want this vi to be generic so it can be used else where within the project.  Any help would be appreciated.

SOLVED

Managed to solve this proble through the use of Globals.  Not the tidiest of solutions however i could not find anything else on the forum that done what i was looking for.
