I am trying to develop a HASS automation system but I don't have any of the hardware present, is there a way to "fool" labview into thinking that the H/W is connected?
There's no "magic" method of simulating hardware unless you're working with IVI instruments. It would certainly be possible to write your own simulation VI's that accept parameters and send something back. You'll have to decide on how elaborate you want to make them.
