data binding tab for boolean

Hello,

happy to join you, this is my first topic. Would you please tell me why I can't find data binding tab in my labview.

Size is also missing on the Appearance page.

I confess that this seems a little strange to me.  It's a perfect illustration of the need to attach your VI so we can "poke" at it and try to explain what seems like an anomaly to you and to me ...

Hi yassine,

all three booleans show "Data binding" settings as well as their size parameters for me…

(Tested using LV2017 and LV2011SP1.)

What happens after restarting your computer, starting LabVIEW (which version do you use?), opening a new fresh VI, and placing new boolean controls? Can you set data binding now?

Best regards,
GerdW

There is no such tab in LV 7.1. If you want to bind to DataSocket, you need to go through the Data Operations context menu, then click DataSocket Connection...

It has been ages since I had to try and use LV 7.1 DSC to talk to a S7-300.

I think you will first have to set-up and OPC server and then you could use the DSC tag configuration editor to map the DSC tags to the served I/O.

If I tried to be more specific than that, I would be deceiving myself that I remembered.
