Did you mean:

create max min feature for waveform graph

Hi,

I am trying to create a max/minimum feature for my system, however, I am not sure how to wire this correctly. Also how do you put the graph background lines on the waveform graph?

Thank you in advance!

Stuart

What exactly do you mean by a max/min feature?  That could be any number of things.

Please clarify: do you want to plot the actual min and max as separate lines?  If so, it would be easier to do with a waveform graph, so you can update the plots as the min/max value changes.

Hi Stu

Please check out the 'Waveform Min Max example.vi' which can be found under 'Help' and then 'Find examples..' from the LabVIEW menu bar.

To add some coloured lines right click on the graph and select 'Properties' - select the 'Scales' tab and then at the bottom right select colours for 'Major Grid' and 'Minor Grid' where it's titled 'Grid Style and Colors'

To be honest I am not sure, the criteria I have asks me to add a max/minimum feature to my system. Also the values should be able to be reset by a control switch. I was hoping if I put the question on here together with my VI, it might have been clear to someone what it meant.

Hi again Stu

Which version of LabVIEW are you running?

I'm using 2011 on Linux on this computer and I can find it by opening up the NI Example finder (Help > Find Examples...), Changing the tab on the left hand side to search and searching for the term 'waveforms'. A big list of examples with this keyword should appear, the min-max example is fourth from the bottom of the list on my installation.

Kind Regards
