copy error codes option for .NET build

I want to distribute my custom error codes along my .NET assembly.

In application builder on the Advanced page, there is an Option "Copy error code files". What does this exactly do?

I know this: https://www.ni.com/docs/en-US/bundle/labview-api-ref/page/resource/framework/providers/builds/appbui...

but it does not tell me what I Need.

What does this Option do, and how to distribute custom error codes with a .NET assembly?

You will find there a summary of Error Code Distribution.
