convert connection ID to string

I'm trying convert Tcp network connection to string but I don't know how to do it.

Both methods you show should work. What is the problem you're encountering? You just have to use the according function to retrieve the connection ID from the string (typecast to connID or unflatten).

What do you want to do with the string?

If you want to see the same number as the probe displays, do a typecast to U32. You can then convert the number to a decimal string.

Hi there.

I have the same problem re converting a TCP ID to string.

The attached pic shows exactly what I want to acheive BUT...how do I find the VI which is doing the good stuff?

The png file is just a picture so I can't click it!

I have found this same problem a few times, please let me know how to find the name of VIs in pictures.
