control cluster reference

 I am looking to change a reference  to a control cluster from a vi that copied and renamed for a new program.

The Control Cluster is also a new ctl file.  See the attached file. I have opened the original file and new file to show where the change needs to occur.

If I understand you correctly, you need to generate a new reference in the new VI.  If you mean you want the typedef to be the copy, not the original, you probably just want to replace the control with the new one (Object Menu --> Replace).
