control and simulation Module Spring Mass

Solved!
Go to solution

Smiley HappyHi!

Sorry for a late reply. The base excitation example is discussed in many engineering books - I would suggest Engineering vibrations 3rd ed (ch. 2 - p.131) and the physics should be understood.

Here is an explanation:

Base-excitation-Inman1.JPG

Understanding the equations and block diagrams, it could be rewritten in Control and simulation blocks.

Base-excitation-Inman-LV-all.jpg

This kind of code enables then other alternatives - art of excitation (e.g. pulse/step) and the frequency/amplitude range.

The code could be proved with analytical solution - as many other things, also this one could be solved on alternative way.

Hope will help .... 🙂

BR,

Vasco

This seems unrelated to the previous chain of posts...you're still talking about a spring mass system but a different system and you don't appear to be using the LabVIEW Control Design & Simulation Module...since you're talking about a different development environment, you may have better luck posting here

Hi!

As (sparkysquared) said, more luck would You surely find on the SIMULINK forum - please check this one - Analysis of suspension system using MATLAB, SIMULINK and Simscape. And technical explanation to Your issue (with SIMULINK) could be found in thesis - link.

OK ... I cab help You, if You post Your mdl file and then I can convert it to the LV - link.

Hope this would help soon.

Hi!

Please try with this link - Suspension: Simulink Modeling and there is also mdl (SIMULINK) file as solution to the issue.

And also with the controller - Suspension: Simulink Controller Design.

Might help.

I wonder what's wrong with my diagram?

Hi Barp,

I am back with the question regarding the discrete impulse excitation in the Control and simulation module. I would like to present it on the diagram with certain time delay, but still on whole time range (0-10).

Why do I have a problem now to write down different excitation paths ?!

Thanks!

Vasco

Hi Joseph,

I would like to sk You about the possibility to get fractional power on derivates and/or integrators in Control and simulation. This is very important for me at the PID regulation parameters and dynamic system description.

Thanks!
