context help icons

Hullo!

  i've been chasing my tail with refnums and typdefs for a day now...  can somebody tell me where to find descriptions of the icons and messages that are displayed in the context help?

i have this little icon that says: "Bad  (asynchronous function)" that means nothing to me.  It must be important cuz my stuff is still broke!  Check out a snapshot below for an example.

(my application uses functional globals and has a master cluster typedef that it sets/gets.  i've been trying to add a vi reference control (which is a typedef) to this master cluster and that's when everything breaks down.)
