I have a device connected GPIB as part of a sequence i need to increment the power supply in 6 pre-defined steps what is the easiest way to code arrays??

Easy. On the array palette, is the array constant. Drop that onto the diagram and then drag a numeric or string constant into the array. Those constants can be found on the Numeric and String palettes.
