cannot edit enums in 7.1

Since I upgraded from 7.1 to 8.0 to 8.2 I cannot edit typdef enums I created in 7.1 when I try to edit them in 7.1. I can edit them in 8.2, but not in 7.1. Has anyone else seen this?

And I can't seem to change control properties, either.

Paul,

Are you trying to edit typedefs created in 8.2 with 7.1?  I'm a little confused as to what you're trying to accomplish and why you're moving between the versions like that...  If you saved the typdef (or any other VI for that matter) from 8.2, then you won't be able to edit it in 7.1 any more.
