cannot connect compile server

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi Rajesh,

I still have the same problem. I already uninstalled all national instruments software and reinstalled the necessary components (LV,RT,FPGA and driver), but this also didn't help.

With regard to compile server: As I said before, there is no process or service looking like compile server. Also there is no tray-icon for the server. That's why I asked where to find the executable. I used Windows search but found only a dll-file.

With regard to compile worker: The worker is running and says disconcertingly everything is okay:

Compile Worker.png

When start compiling LabVIEW I got the following:

Compilation Status 1.pngCompilation Status 2.png

The errors in the compile worker log-file are still same, too (see attachment above). But I cleaned up the log-file, so there is only one job and only one attemp. Maybe it's now more manageable.

Thanks

Michael

Hi Michael,

The compile server and labview interact over the TCP/IP regardless of whether the server and labview are running on the same or different machines. With me, i had a problem in the internet connection due to some malware that was probably affecting all TCP/IP communications and hence compile server was not being connected to. Once i ran my anti-malware and removed it, the problem got solved. So make sure the following:

1. When you see the compile worker window, go to configure ,and make sure the radio button is on use local server

2. try and remove all malware/spyware if any using some anti-malware program.

3. Talk to your internet manager (if you have one) about the network walls/securities, if any, that might cause a problem.

4. Also are you using win 7? if yes, then there are some issues with xilinx not being able to fully support win 7, i dont know about them. That being said, mine is win 7 but it works.

hope you get over it soon. I know how frustrating it is!

Rajesh

Hi Hameedkdni,

Have you tried the troubleshoting steps that rkkallur has recommended?  This issue can come from a lot of different sources.  What have you tried to resolve it, because I would start with rkkallur's steps.
