append control image

Hi,

I Have a problem with the append control image to report VI. I Have a Array of clusters that contain 3 numeric indicators and 2 vertical pointer slides. When i try to append this iamge to a report, the picture thats appended downt contain the whole control, and has some weird artefacts. With other controls the append control image to report vi works fine.. Is this a bugin LV 8.0 or am i doing something wrong?

Thnx

There is a bug in LabVIEW 8.0 with appending cluster images to reports.  I believe it's fixed in 8.2.

Can you post a very simple example VI that demonstrates the problem?

Thanks for posting the sample VI.  This problem is due to the cluster image problem I previously mentioned.  I can append your cluster image to a report in LabVIEW 7.1 and LabVIEW 8.2 just fine, but with LabVIEW 8.0 part of the control is missing.  So as I previously mentioned, this bug is present only in LabVIEW 8.0.x, and is fixed in LabVIEW 8.2.

i created a work around bij appending the frontpanel image to a html report. Is this also possible with a word report? When i try this i get an error that this action isnt compatible with this kind of report?

Are you using the Append Front Panel Image to Report VI?  If so, you shouldn't see any problems...this VI should work with all report types.  In fact, we use this VI when appending "VI Documentation" to a report generated with the Report Express VI.  Are you using a different approach to append the front panel image to the report?

Once again, if you're still having trouble, please post a simple example VI that demonstrates the issue so I can try it out.

Thanks,
