I need a labview driver for an AJIDA PC/VME Master PC to VME interface card

Hello joerger,

It does not appear that there is an instrument driver available for the AJIDA board you describe, but if you would like to request an instrument driver, you can do so at this page linked below:

However, while I am not familiar with the Ajida board, if it is anything like our own line of VXI interface boards, it does not need an instrument driver to be used in LabVIEW, but instead requires a device driver to operate correctly, much like our NI-VXI driver is used for our VXI-MXI-2, VXI-1394, and VXI-MXI-3 PC to VXI boards. It would be the responsibility of the instrument manufacturer to provide a device driver so that you could use the board p
roperly, so I suggest you also contact them in case there is a driver they can provide.

AJIDA is 'out of business'.
i will guess that a 'device driver' is more simple, are there any app notes on doing one for a register based device.
a 2 bd interface, 1 is an ISA bd in a pc (w/r to ports) and the other end is a register based board in the VME box.
while i have you, are there any anaylsis VI's (fft,histo, sine fitting from unknown input) that directly take text file inputs?

In LabVIEW, you will need to use the File I/O VI's to read the text file in as numerical data, and then do the signal processing after the fact. This will allow you greater flexibility in how you read in the data, and in how you actually process it by leaving the two decoupled.

If the boards you are attempting to write a driver for is truly a PC to VME interface kit, I expect that the project itself would be very involved, and you might want to consider some of our PC to VXI/VME solutions. We have a PCI-VME kit based upon MXI-2, an intermediate bus technology that has been an industry standard for many years. We also offer options that connect a PC to a VXI chassis using Firewire (IEEE 1394) and MXI-3. As VXI is a standard built on top of VME, a

Also, as for your question about programming the two boards, all of our register level programming resources are going to be specific to products that we create, but you could explore our Developer Zone for information on register level programming of specific hardware, and attempt to relate the information to your situation.
