Hi I'm wondering if anyone knows why I can't use DAQ Assistant using this  Agilant 3582A DAQ unit. Much help would be appreciated..

The DAQ assistant is for National Instruments DAQ devices.

 

The Agilent is not a DAQ device, but an instrument.  The Instrument I/O assistant would be the correct Express VI to use.

 

But in reality, you should search the device driver network for the device drivers to communicate with it.  http://www.ni.com/downloads/idnet/
