accessing child class data with parent class static accessor

I am sure that I am confused. I just happended to use an enum but it very well could have been a string. The Enum was the input to setJobTitle (data accessor).

I agree that Child IS-A parent, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it in labview.

I believe this is what you were trying to tell me to do.

The names were correct because they were written with Static Parent Vis. But the DD Vis "Hire" didn't affect the data the way I anticipated.

But my previous example worked just fine by using the "Call Parent Method".
