Year Unit "A"?

I looked up the unit for year in LabVIEW, and the unit is "A".  Does anyone know why is that?  Maybe I am just having a brain freeze?

Hoping to avoid typos or autocompletion on my iPhone, I believe the proper Latin form is 'annus'. It is all Greek, er Latin, to me.
