Xilinx Compilation Tool for LabVIEW 2016 (32-bit)

Solved!
Go to solution

I do not have the xilinx compilation tool installed with labview fpga. I have tried searching the NI website to find a suitable version for the compilation tool but haven't been able to.

I am using NI cRIO - 9014, can anybody tell a suitable version of xilinx compilation tool that is compatible with my cRIO?

Below is the image of the error I was getting while deploying

This is a Real-Time controller and does not have an FPGA.  The FPGA is in the reconfigurable embedded chassis.

On https://www.ni.com/docs/en-US/bundle/crio-9012-9014-user-manual/resource/crio-9012-9014-user-manual.... see page 5 item 4.  Which part do you have for that?

Once you have that part, check here:

I have four different modules installed on my chassis that are based on fpga. I wouldn't have been able to design a VI that includes fpga i/o modules and then got the error that states compilation tool is not installed.

Anyways, I found out that the problem was that LabVIEW FPGA module is not compatible with windows 10 and that's why Xilinx Compilation tool was not installed on my system. So, I have to use their cloud compiler service in order to run my code.

Great to hear. There should be an additional item which actually contains the FPGA.

Cloud compile is definitely a good option. I use this when I do not have the Xilinx tools installed for a particular FPGA.
