Writing to DAQmx digital port

I don't have any hardware setup yet. But I want to find out, if in a vi, I set one of the digital port lines HIGH using the "Write to Digital Port.vi" and then using test stand go on to executing additional vi's. Will the digital port in the previous vi hold its high state, or will it reinitialize to low state as soon as I have completed the execution of that vi and moved to a different vi?

I am trying to enable an output digital signal set to high, and then execute some other vi's and then after a couple of tests, I go back to the digital line and turn the output back to low.

Please help.

Hello Shoab,

As long as you don't call any VIs which write a different value to the port, or reconfigure the port, then the DIO line should hold it's high value until you change it.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Regards,
Sean C.

That's what I thought. Thank you very much Sean, I'll check it out with some hardware real soon.
