Write Elvis Programms on Labview

Hello,

first i am new on Labview.

I wanted to write a Program on Labview for NI Elvis II.

But i didnt find anyy possibility using and input from the Elvis Board.

Do i need to install some special Libs? If yes where are they?

Thanks

EDIT: I may have misinterpreted your post.

The program runs on your computer and the Elvis is just a device your program communicates with.

After installing the Elvis software examples can be found in the Example Finder, and demo applications can be found in your start menu.

i have installed Elvis Software and seen the Apps like the Ossi or the Function Generator.

But i will write my own programms with Labview (which is possible).

I would know how i can access Elvis on labview.

So i can say U from port x should be readed

Launch LabVIEW, then run Help >> Example Finder and search for Elvis.  Many examples should be installed.  Also go to your palette on the block diagram and search for Elvis and you'll find the palette with all the function calls.

If you are new to LabVIEW you may want some free training.

This makes me believe the software isn't installed.  Did you install LabVIEW after the Elvis software?  LabVIEW must be installed before additional toolkits and drivers (like DAQmx).  If this is the case you can perform a repair install of any software and it should install it for all installed versions of LabVIEW.

Version 14 is the latest. You have not specified which version of LabVIEW that you are using. On the links you posted, look at what versions are and aren't supported and get the latest.

first i worked with labview 2013 but now i get a new computer with labview 2012. I could maybe install 2013 but i dont think itns necessary because the old versions are supported too.

arent the 2 programs not little different?

it looks for me like 2 diffrent types of software.
